HISTORY

DC-NEXUS was founded in 2015 by individuals determined and focused on enlightening the public about the interdependencies of direct and alternating current technologies in the modern world.  Based in Skokie, Illinois with an office in Princeton, New Jersey, DC-NEXUS works closely with leaders in industry, academia, government agencies and standards organizations to offer daily news and articles on the benefits of direct current (DC) technology, with a particular focus on microgrid deployments. DC-NEXUS issues a regular newsletter and advertises DC related products and services on its web site under the heading “1 Electric Avenue”. Through education of the public and promotion of DC technologies, DC-NEXUS is fostering an environment for the adoption of DC technologies in all facets of life, thereby increasing reliability while reducing energy costs and carbon emissions.

Joe Suppers – Vice President and Senior Editor
Joe is the founder of NodeCom, Inc. which specializes in data center site selection and consulting. Founded in 1995 NodeCom has assisted numerous companies across the U.S. Including AOL in the early days when it expanded its dial up network in nodes across the globe. Recognizing the need for industry information. Joe founded CarrierHotels.com which became the go-to web site for industry news, information and knowledge. The site later evolved into DataCenterKnowledge.com which is still a significant news site for the industry. Joe is currently collaborating with companies promoting DC power for data centers and industrial sites to promote energy efficiency and reliability.

Anil Cherian – CEO and Editor in Chief
Anil comes from the consulting world, as founder and president of SDG Consulting, Inc. SDG Consulting is a multifaceted consulting firm serving a diverse client base in multiple markets. Anil enjoys helping companies chart and implement new strategic plans and improve efficiency. He holds his Ph.D. from Northwestern University and has been in the field of consulting for nearly a decade. When not helping clients grow and improve their business, he continues to pursue his passion in Neuroscience.
